I'm a uni cel. First year into my ICT degree and I hate it. I learnt more in school tbh.
I'm currently doing this online course of cyber security side by side, and i am learning 10 times more in that online class than university.
I'm planning on finishing that online course certification in under 2 months and get myself hired or work as a free lancer.
On top of being a terrible business, they don't even teach you much, you gotta do stuff on your own, it sucks. The degree's around 30K Australian Shekels and on top of that you pay for your own books. I was recently thinking of dropping out but around this week i fully made my decision that i WILL drop out. I don't want to waste my time there. There's IT companies hiring people who never went uni and studied on their own, some of them didn't even study much... but due to work experience and skills, they get hired. Wtf am i doing here, coping with university? Good thread, uni is cope, a waste of time and money.
