Unlocking your smile: Never get a cavity again
*A detailed summary of what I've been researching about dental health*
The first thing people notice about you is your smile
It is as important as your physique, hair, and style.
Which is why it mustn't be neglected.
Cavities are more prevalent than ever.
Approximately 90% of the united states has had a cavity.
But just a hundred years ago, this number was only 25%.
Cavities have almost quadrupled in the last century alone
So who is the culprit?
TABLE OF CONTENTS-
1. An introduction to unlocking your smile
2. Dental decay
3. How to combat the dental struggle
4. Common mistakes to avoid
5. One last reflection
1. An introduction to unlocking your smile
Unlocking your smile, put simply, is transforming your smile
naturally into its best form
Paying for veneers, artificial implants, etc. because of cavities
are all great ways to ruin your oral health forever
While the path of simply going to turkey and having all your teeth
mutilated may seem appealing at first, I assure you that you will be
your own demise after you start getting serious dental issues
This guide was created to help you never get a cavity again
Imagine being able to chew on a hard steak well into your 90's while
your neighbor lost all of his teeth when he was 60 years old and now
uses dentures to live while only being able to drink soup
As the saying goes, If you don't use it then you lose it. And this applies
to your teeth too.
2. Dental decay
To understand how your teeth decay with cavities, you have to understand their anatomy
The outer most layer of your teeth is the enamel. Its what we'll be mostly focusing on
Under the enamel lies your dentin and then your pulp
The enamel cannot be regenerated. It slowly withers away with time. Don't make this
process worse than it already is by getting a cavity
The rapid increase in cavities is because of consuming excessive carbohydrates
Your mouth naturally contains good bacteria which is essential to have for your oral microbiome to thrive.
When you eat carbohydrates(which foods nowadays are packed of), it causes the bacteria to become a super-bacteria and create acid
The acid will then go onto the enamel layer of your tooth and start breaking it down. You will start to
see grooves or pits on your teeth
The normal thing to do now would be to go to the dentist as he shaves off more of your tooth and replaces it
with a weak, inferior, material to enamel called an artificial filling
This is also where everyone goes completely wrong. Never go to the dentist in the early stage of a cavity.
3. How to combat the dental struggle
What if I told you there was a way to completely reverse any cavity?
Well there is.
In the early stages of cavity formation it is totally possible to reverse it
In your mouth there are glands that release saliva
Saliva remineralizes your teeth, just like toothpaste does
Saliva was the original toothpaste.
Additionally, increasing saliva production can reverse cavities
The best way to do this is by buying something called xylitol gum, which significantly
increases the production of saliva and has cured cavities for many people, including me.
Consistent usage of xylitol also prevents cavities from forming.
Its a natural alternative to dental fillings, so you can keep the integrity of your teeth
and your wallet
Side note: I am not trying to sell you anything this gum can be bought anywhere
4. Common mistakes to avoid
Most people are making this one crucial mistake when they brush their teeth
When you are about to brush your teeth, you should first rinse your mouth with lukewarm water,
and then begin brushing your teeth
Take a pea sized amount of toothpaste and apply it gently to all areas of your teeth
After you are done brushing, DO NOT rinse your mouth with water.
Instead, rinse your mouth normally and spit out the excess toothpaste.
After you do this crucial step, wait for around 30 minutes and then you can
rinse your mouth with water to get all the toothpaste off of your teeth.
This is crucial because it allows for the best remineralization possible to
prevent cavities
5. One last reflection
The modern intake of excessive carbohydrates has led to an increased production of bad acid in the mouth which leads to cavities. Cavities are at an all time high and they have almost quadrupled. However cavities can be prevented/cured and don't require you to go to the dentist for a filling in all cases. By following this guide, you can keep your teeth healthy and cavity-free for the rest of your life.
