Ok so I’ve been struggling with a paralyzing fear of rejection for a long time. One of the main reasons I got a therapist was to help me get over this fear. I’ve been trying to build up the courage to ask any girl out for a few months now and today I finally did it.
I go to college a few times a week and after a while I picked out about 4 girls from different classes to ask out as practice.
I was getting strong signals from this one girl and decided to just take the plunge and ask her out for lunch.
I was shocked when she said yeah at first but then when I asked her if Saturday was good she suddenly changed her mind and said that she just got out of a relationship.
She said that’s the only reason and I said alright no worries.
Even though she basically rejected me I’m happy that I finally faced my fear. It wasn’t bad at all and it feels way better to know for sure than to live in regret like a usually do.
Anyway, I see her in class two times a week so now she knows. I think she likes another dude in class though but thats ok, there are other girls.
