Updates on my rhinoplasty in turkey (bad news)

So as some of you may know I was planning to get a bunch of procedures done this year - revision rhinoplasty (jan 19) and genioplasty later this year and a bunch of other possible treatments. However i just had my maxillofacial appointment regarding genioplasty.

Well I heard what I expected to hear. Genioplasty is suboptimal for me, as my lower lip would go even lower and I’d be left with an open mouth, because even now I’m so downgrown that im forcing my lower lip a bit just to keep my mouth closed.

So he mentioned bimax, but it’s not yet confirmed whether I’m going to start pre ortho treatment. As of now, he scheduled me with one of his orthodontists to examine me further (the consult will be this wednesday). Then if I make the decision I’m going to cancel all shit in turkey and put myself in braces for probably at least a year and wait until I’m ready for bimax.
I thought I could get away with genio and fillers

TL;DR:
I had my consult about genioplasty and it turns out it’s not a good option for me because it would worsen my lip incompetence and just would not benefit me in the way bimax would. He mentioned bimax but first I need an orthodontic consultation with one of his orthos (this Wednesday). If I decide to go for it, I’ll cancel my procedures in turkey, get braces for about a year or two, and prepare for bimax. Worst thing is i already spent 3 years in braces at the wrong ortho before.



Anyway shoutout to the whole staff and the maxillo surgeon who i talked to, he got my respect he looks so alpha at first when i googled him up he wasnt appealing but i guess the photos were outdated. Guy also owns the whole clinic. When I walked in I was genuinely so impressed.

braces are always a thing while preping for jaw surgery because the teeth must allign post op otherwise i wouldnt be able to close my mouth after the movements

i feel you man, im really close to getting fat grafts done and im also doing rhino after that. i would slightly benefit from bimaxillary advancement but for me its just a bit too far and trash ROI tbh, mirin the balls to do all that
