Hi everyone,
I’m considering a procedure to get rid of the excess skin on my upper eyelids (hooded eyes), but I have a specific aesthetic concern.
Currently, my hooding is quite significant, and I actually like the "deep-set" look. My main goal is to remove the "heaviness" and the skin that sits on my lashes, but I want to avoid upper eyelid exposure (UEE) as much as possible. I’m worried that a standard upper blepharoplasty will cut away too much skin, create a new crease, and leave me with a visible "platform" (exposed mobile lid), which would completely change my eye shape and make me look "hollow."
Based on my anatomy (low-set brows and heavy hooding), would a brow lift (or maybe a sub-brow skin excision) be a better option to "lift" the skin without revealing the eyelid itself? Or is it possible to perform a very conservative blepharoplasty that only removes the overhanging skin while maintaining the hooded look?
Has anyone here gone through this and managed to keep their hooded eyes while just "cleaning up" the excess skin?
