Upper lip protrudes over lower

I got braces rn and I’m getting them off in a month. My top lip protrudes over my lower on side profile and it ruins my side. How do I fix this my bite is normal, and I had this before braces too js not as severe. It looks retarded from my front profile too.

My chin is slightly recessed like 2mm but it looks completely normal, I’ve never had anyone say I’m recessed even from my bped friends. But even if I get genio it has no effect on lip placement so idk.

Are you sure your bite is perfect ? I actually have a class 1 over bite since I got braces and rn my orthodontist told me I could get double jaw surgery to correct it ( wich I will do ). Maybe it’s not even from your braces but from your upper lip tissue that is a bit to big

I’ll start a conversation with you rq honestly idk. Next time I go to ortho I’m getting my braces off thoguh.

Sounds like recession in your mandible/chin or both would need a side profile pic to know
