Using benzol peroxide and a cleanser to clear minimal acne

Wanted to hop on accutane but fucks up your hormones. Will take it in around a year once hormone levels stabilize and growth slows down. Is benzol peroxide and a cleanser good for now?

Seeing changes had moderate acne and is now decreasing to minimal. Tretinoin useless for me until skin clears up. Is there anything more effective than what I am using now?

Why do you say tretinoin is useless for you but want to hop on isoTRETINOIN (Accutane)?

Because im too lazy to be consistent and accutane keeps the oil at bay. Tretinoin is useless if I already have minimal acne

Both of them do the same thing, except Accutane is a little bit stronger, but essentially both of them activate the RAR gamma receptor which will cause skin cell turnover and reduction of oil production.

The issue is isotretinoin vs tretinoin is that tretinoin is topical and takes a little bit longer to work and may cause more irritation during the adaptation weeks, but at the end of the day they do the same function at a cellular level with differing efficacies. Using tretinoin is just like using benzoyl peroxide, c'mon it doesn't even take 2 minutes to apply.

If you wanna use Accutane because you like the stronger and faster results, then fine as long as you understand the side effects, my point was just to make sure you didn't ignorantly discard topical retinoid solutions

Alright thanks I guess applying something for 30 seconds is better than a lifetime of liver problems and the side effects lol.
