I recently noticed that applying FaceApp’s 'masculine' filter to someone already male can provide a surprisingly accurate preview of achievable softmaxxing results, as long as you aren't a fatcell.
Over the past few days, I tested this on myself and a few friends (sorry, I’m not sharing those pics), and the changes are subtle yet realistic and naturally achievable with effort, though some chemical assistance (like minoxidil) might help. No surgery required.
Of course, you won’t look exactly like the filtered version. FaceApp can sometimes tweak features like cheekbone prominence, but the results are still a useful guide.
Let’s look at an example: Michael Cera.
Before/After
what do we notice? Some of the most important changes:
First, he's somewhat leaner, and some fat has been lost from his face.
Second, he now has a thicker neck, which makes it appear as if his jawline is sharper (upon close examination, you'll notice his jawline didn't/barely changed at all.. this can be worked towards with neck training).
Third, haircut altered slightly to improve how it frames his face.
Fourth: He has slightly less eye exposure (this can be worked towards by using your eyebrows less. A lot of people unconciously work their eyebrows A LOT, just by slightly raising them. This can overwork the muscle and make them appear slightly higher set.)
Fifth: very realistic minoxidil gains to his eyebrows. combining minoxidil + dermal stamp could probably provide even better results.
Sixth: Slight tint/tan. I.e better coloring.
If you are a fatcell, this may still work somewhat for you. I.e Ed Sheeran (yes, he's fat)
Now, I ended up choosing a sub5 and an ed sheeran, so the results aren't THAT much of an improvement (especially in ed sheerans case). But when used on more normal people (ltn and mtn's), I've noticed the increase on the rating scale is pretty significant -- sometimes two entire subtiers. (I.e low ltn to high ltn, or mid mtn to low htn). If you want to try this yourself, I recommend setting your phone up at eye level, standing at least arms distance, and then taking a photo. Use a timer for the photo or take a video and screenshot
Anyways, let me know if you think this is viable/realistic or not.
