its a trend/tendency, not a 100% rule thing

older sibling being higher IQ is easy to formulate hypothesis as to why thats the case, like parents are more zealous and tend to police and demand more from their 1stborn; 1stborn capabilities and accomplishments end up overshadowing the younger siblings and this create a positive feedback loop for the older sibling and the inverse happens for the younger ones, and so on.

appearance wise its not that clear, maybe giving birth makes foids body more adapted to bearing and giving birth to the following offspring thus making them more good looking

also not being policed makes them more carefree and they can have a healthier upbringing than the older stressmaxxed sibling, more physical activity, sunlight exposure, outdoors activities and so on
