Because it will never achieve the desired goal (considering the cases where people do it for the animals)

It's a personal ideology that you adopt to create an identity, a message that you're sending about yourself. It's never going to impact the world.

Imagine eating a shitty diet without meat because you're against animal killing, only for animals to still get slaughtered at the same rate as ever at the end of the day. Hahahahahaha. How stupid do you have to be? If you're a vegan because of animals you're a dumb subhuman that wants attention.

Legit, if vegans actually cared about animals they would be devoting their life to pushing forward the field of lab grown meat

Adopting a vegan lifestyle in a world where billions consume meat makes your individual choice seem almost insignificant. In the vast expanse of global dietary habits, one person's decision to abstain from animal products is a mere whisper against the roar of widespread meat consumption. This isn't cynicism; it's a perspective grounded in reality. When the dietary choices of billions dictate market trends, a single individual's diet appears to have little impact.

Expanding this view to consider the effect of individual actions on animal welfare, even the most committed vegan lifestyle seems trivial. Realize that despite personal sacrifices in diet, the industrial scale of animal farming continues unabated. Globally, countless animals are bred, raised, and slaughtered daily. Your personal choice to forgo animal products, no matter how ethically grounded, is just a tiny gesture against the backdrop of ongoing, large-scale animal agriculture.

Further, even if you were a leading activist or influencer in the vegan movement, inspiring thousands to change their diets, this influence is minuscule compared to the history of animal life on Earth. Considering the countless organisms that have lived, fed, and perished over millennia, any impact you make seems negligible. The Earth's history of predation and survival, and potentially similar patterns on other planets, dwarf any changes a single individual or movement could make in the grand scheme of things.

Lastly, at the most encompassing level, animal suffering, much like death, is an intrinsic part of existence, devoid of inherent moral judgement in the universe's eyes. It's a component of the natural order, as indifferent as the forces of nature. The universe, vast and unfeeling, does not concern itself with the moral choices of its inhabitants. Our actions and ethical decisions, in the face of an immense, uncaring cosmos, appear to have little universal significance.

9/11 also made zero difference in the great scheme of things, but you would obviously stop it if you could right?

Animal protein = health and looks. I'd kill a million vegans to make sure I maintain my diet.
