Do they do any good or is it just a waste of money? Is it scientifically proven that they really clean and improve the air?

depends. it can be worth in the room you spend the most time especially if you live in the city, near polluting industry, highways or normoids burning wet wood and trash like the dumbfucks they are :feelshmm: it can also help if mold pops up anywhere to help you out while you treat it

get the Ikea one if you don't want to spend too much, I reckon the others don't do much more. maybe if they monitor the air quality for you and turn on when needed that's nice

tfw you spend $500 + $100 filters on air purifier and you get worse air :feelshmm: kiked again

It is very Cagefuel the fact that you try to block and/or avoid the chemicals in the air, but you also go outside and breathe everything that is outside. In addition, you drink in plasticized water full of BPA and endocrine disruptors.

Everything in this current life has chemicals, everything, believe me, is not worth it.

He’s a hepa on Amazon will remove a ton of crap from the air. Usually about 230$ for a good one.

Question for anyone who has one. Was just in a situation a couple weeks ago that brought death to my soul.
Took a dump, sprayed my studio down then left. In my MIND i just knew the smell would have evaporated by the time I got back.
IDK why I believed it.
I bring a co-worker but to my spot for a quick exchange and the smell was still in my pad!
I was beyond embarrassed. If i had an Air Purifier could it have cleared the room of the smell ?

I bought one for 700 euros, I have now used it a few days and did a/b testing. I think it is cope. I don't think it changes anything tbh

The only thing I miss at home is that constant "freshness" in the air, as if you go outside. I thought the air purifier would "freshen" the air a bit so it would be like outside. Very disappointed

doesn't it display the particulates and how it improves them? so it should be measurable improvement

anyway if you don't like it you can probably just return it jfl. gotta do a bit of research on which one is worth because there are quite a few that are overpriced just for the sake of it. all it is is a plastic box, a fan and a filter :lul: if it makes ozone that's already shit because you don't want to be breathing that. ozone works if you vent it after but not suitable for continuous application. so you really gotta be reading up on it before buying :feelshmm: (like most things or you get scammed like my mom that paid $2k for a magic lamp (4x monthly average wage here when she did it), she's very stupid)
