Don't think I've seen this question asked yet but I got assessed at a maxillary surgeon and they recommended Trimax with removal of vertical maxillary excess he said it was called an 'impaction' is this the same as ccw? and also would this improve my facial convexity/fwhr? Sorry if this has alr been asked

Your surgeon should provide detailed cephalometric predictions (X-rays and photos showing the projected "before and after") that clearly illustrate how these measurements will change
maxillary impaction- The primary movement is vertical. The maxilla is surgically raised to shorten the vertical height of the face and correct a "gummy smile"
ccw- This refers to a rotation of the maxillomandibular complex (both jaws) to move the chin forward and upward. While impaction might be part of a broader surgical plan that includes CCW rotation, they are not the same thing. Impaction addresses vertical issues, while CCW rotation typically addresses horizontal projection and overall facial profile

Thanks I havent gotten a the cephalometric predictions yet, because I am a minor and have to wait a few years to be operated on, I was sent to the surgeon on advice of my dentist and parents agree to go through w it once Im of age. But for now it was more of a general assesment rather than prepping for surgery and making projections of my face after because it will still grow they said
