Vivid hair color

I realize that more than anything, vivid hair is what makes a hair color attractive. I don’t want to dye my hair a different color, I would like to make it a more vivid color of what it is now, if that makes sense. Any suggestions how to accomplish that? I’m thinking perhaps a color depositing shampoo to enhance the color but not change it. I don’t want people knowing!
