It's all about your neck being more relaxed. Think about when you sleep. Your neck, and thus vocal cords, will be relaxed for a prolonged period, which is why your voice is so low in the morning compared to later in the day. However, we spend the whole day with our necks up and talking to other people, which naturally puts strain and thus doesn't allow us to speak as low as we did in the morning. However, by training your neck and strengthening it, you can significantly offset this and maintain that lower voice or even reach new lows.
