There is just something about the flavor in walnuts that is so soothing
Here is a poem I wrote after devouring my eighth walnut today. It was a delight
Ode to the Walnut
In a cradle of shell, so rugged and worn,
Lies a treasure of taste, in twilight born.
Golden folds like a brain of the earth,
Each bite a whisper of quiet worth.
A crunch that hums like autumn leaves,
Nutty and warm, like harvest eves.
Velvet bitterness, sweet and bold,
Like stories whispered by the old.
But toast it — and ah, it blooms anew,
Like sunlight dancing on morning dew.
Rich as butter, deep as wood,
The taste of time — and all that’s good.
O walnut, gnarled and ancient delight,
A feast for tongue and soul’s respite.
In cheese, in cake, or raw and wild,
You turn the simplest man to child.
Please do not comment DNRD. I took 10 mins on a toilet shitting the bloat away while writing this.
