Amazon shifts are way too long (12 fucking hours). And the Amazon warehouse in my area has bad turnover because the management is dog shit and treats the workers like robots. I have a friend who quit after like 2 months tell me that when I asked him how it was.

I ended up going with UPS. Way better pay, benefits, and a Union. Plus I’m only staying here until I turn 21 and can start utilizing my CDL so I don’t care about upward mobility.

The Amazon warehouses are modern af, it’s one of the easier warehouse jobs (if you ignore the strict management and rules) with the hardest being the furniture company warehouses. You guys get AC, bright lights, Computers and robots helping you move alot of the inventory. My warehouse is very outdated and humans do 99% of the work. So it’s more physically demanding.

Luckily mine is pretty diverse and decent. You’ll have guys of all races in one trailer loading at the end of the day when we get flooded with boxes. Everyone gets along for the most part. Aside from supervisors yelling at each other. The union is a god send though. You can tell your supervisor to eat a dick and they can’t do a thing about it.
