Was on a bus once that got diverted because of some roadworks. The driver was new and clearly had no idea where to go, so this drunk guy near the front pipes up like, “Don’t worry, I know a shortcut.”
So the driver starts following his directions for like 10 minutes — proper confidence in his voice — “Left here… straight on… next right…”
Eventually we stop outside a random terraced house and the guy just goes, “thanks, man,” gets up, presses the bell, and hops off.
The driver just sat there in silence for a good 20 seconds like he was rethinking every life choice that led him there.
