Wasps are terrorizing me. Solutions???

I had a big wasp nest outside so yesterday I snuck up on it when none of them were around and sprayed a bottle of ketchup on them to try and take down the nest. It didn't work though and they came out and they sounded really mad. They stung me through my shirt and on my naked legs and I'm really scared of them now
