at first I was sceptic about watching it because of how over hyped and mainstream i thought it was, but honestly man i watched it and it's so fucking beautiful, like genuenly I don't remember the last time I was feeling this emotionally attached while watching a movie. The end of the movie left me almost crying I can't even lie this might be low T but shit man it was so beautiful . I watched it in the cinema opening weekend with my girlfriend, i really liked the action scenes and the ending but all the supposedly 'funny' interactions with the main character gave me second hand embarrassment.

A lot of people in the cinema were laughing at it, and i was just wondering 'why?'

But outside of that, the movie was really well made. If you can tolerate half an hour of cringy, weeb humor then you'll enjoy the movie.

i only went there because my gf wanted me to watch it with her and i didnt really understand anything the first time (probably sensory overload)
but after i looked up the plot to understand what i had just watched i actually felt something, especially when re-listening to the music in those parts, the piano is such a tearjerker it even made me cry as cringe as that sounds
i think thats why anime fans are mostly depressed, its because the emotions there are amplified by 1000 and then the boringness of real life hits much harder
