Ways to get a wider face at 17?

My fWHR is 1,64 are there any ways besides surgery to get a wider face? I could undergo MARPE but I dont know if a dentist would allow that just cuz I wanna have a wider face. My midface is to long so I should get a wider jaw to fix that right???

a palate expander at 17 is literally useless, it only works during early teen years and childhood by moving teeth, at his age his are already fused, marpe is the only way, and even that is sometimes limited

the only real fix is surgery unless youre rlly young and can do a palate expander for true bone remodelling. changing your zygos width is one of the most difficult as an adult

surgery to expand the pallate, and zygo implants or what surgery . IN most cases it also correleates with having an overbite(narrow skull its over)

your maxilla is connected to to your zygos. the problem is that your upper palate (maxilla) is too narrow and/or your zygos lack lateral projection. typically they are present together tho.

it makes the UPPER jaw wider also pushing your zygos outward because they are connected bones. your FWHR has nothing to do with your mandible width and the mandible is a seperate bone that isnt directly affected by maxilla/zygos width

speak with a plastic surgeon/orthodontist to see whether the main problem is orthodontic/palete which could also affect your breathing, or if its mainly a underprojected lateral zygomatic arch. either way I would stay away from filler in that region, its one of the most hit or miss places for filler

The fwhr is calculated by dividing the byzygomatic width by the distance between your glabella to upper lip. The mandible with does not change your byzgomatic width or the distance between your glabella to upper lip at all. The only fix is surgery.

If your bizygomatic to bigonial width is 2.3 that means you either have a very projected lateral zygos or a very narrow mandible (most likely very narrow mandible from what youve said). This ratio is easier to mask than fwhr because it involves the mandible, which is easier to widen with masseter growth/filler

Overall from what youve said, you likely have both a narrow zygos and narrow mandible.

ofc, but surgery also comes with all the costs and risks of surgery. so its up to you, because there are non-surgical alternatives to fixing mandible width. but for zygomatic width/fwhr the only option is effectively surgery.
