I think yes but they could cope because no internet and degeneracy. So it was normal to be traditional and virgin because probably the majority of your friends were the same. Now we have media and tv shows reminding us what we dont have

If you were well-educated/achieved, you would easily get a decent wife. Betabuxing also still very legit. Also with out of marriage sex being less common since no birth control: not getting free sex outside of relationships was probably the standard

All of this makes me thing there were little to no real incels.
