Hitler was just the same, and a lot factors plaid out. It's not certain at all that Germans would've won if they had taken Stalingrad or Moscow. Hitler was fooled by Winter War, thinking that Soviet Union was a paper tiger, and it'd take but a couple months to invade them. And nazis were able to destroy almost entire Soviet Air Force and Army in the first months of the war, but Stalin could recruit more men than Hitler could kill, and that was bound to tip the scale at some point.

Finns can't be assimilated. Swedes came close, but moggers like Elias Lönnrot did shit ton of work to rekindle the spirit of Finland

The only way Germany could’ve won IMO

1) invaded Russia in more like March with full force blotzkrieg before the western front opened
2) conquered Moscow before winter time
3) once ussr was out of the war used the USSR for manpower
4) without the USSR involved incredible destruction of the RAF with pretty much around the clock air raids
5) invade London
6) once Europe was conquered then try diplomatically to end the war as a war with America in Europe is hard as German just didn’t have the reach to invade America and without this capacity to pack a punch and keep them from invading it would end up with America coming in which would be very unpredictable
