Cumulonmbus clouds are your tipycal storm cloud, that often have an anvil-like shape and can reach up to 12km in height:feelsgood:(But it depends on wich part of the world)

.but where do these bastards form?
they often form in hot, humid areas, since its like a breeding camp for them:soy:

It originates from an humble cumulus humilis, the puffy clouds on a great sunny day, but cumulonimbus clouds grow fast, even in less than an 1h!!:feelsgah:

BUT WHAT ARE THE STAGES OF A CUMULONIMBUS?

.1 Cumulus humilis
cumulus humilis are the smallest type of cumulus clud, but can evolve in cumulonimbus clouds:feelsahh:

2. Cumulus mediocris
cumulus mediocris have moderate height and are still wider than it is tall
here's the image

.3 cumulus congestus
cumulus congestus are towering clouds reaching up to 8 km and bring medium size showers and weak lightning (very unlikely tho, ill maybe explain later

.4 cumulonimbus calvus
its the first stage of a premature cumulonimbus, but its bald:dafuckfeels:
it has a round top but is indeed still a cumulonimbus, that may turn deadly!:feelsahh:

(There's also cumulonimbus capillatus, but its too lame and im too lazy to include this lame fucking excuse of a cloud:feelstastyman::feelswah:)

6.cumulonimbus incus
The ultimate stage of a storm, that brings hail, heavy rain, outbursts, string winds, and if a supercell, EVEN UP TO EF5 TORNADOES:soy::feelsohgod: They have an anvil shape, since they reach the tropopause, and since the air is more stable:Comfy: the winds spread the cloud this like that, if its a supercell, thanks to the strong windshear, it'll have an overshooting top and an uneven anvil because of the windshear!:feelsohh:
