Yes, exactly. White people often think I’m Moroccan or Turkish simply because I’m brown, but I clearly look South Asian. If I was American, they would mistake me for Mexican. That’s why I disregard whatever they mistake me for (or I’m just doing it to cope because I got Bengali and Indian once).
