Find mate, breed mate, raise kids to do same thing. That is your entire biological imperative and your sole objective.

Beauty in the experience of those you identify with is the only thing that matters, and everything else is a means to this end. Art is that which promises beauty. Hence all our efforts ought to be directed at the creation and discovery of art.

This is-ought fallacy is really common in the blackpill. Evolution isn't goal-based.

You don't know what identify means. What I said has little to do with friends. It relates to the nature of the self as something which distributes over multiple observers according to an interpreter.

then maybe be a little less pretentiously vague

"of those you identify with" if this isn't friends, then wtf is it supposed to mean

If you believe in egoism / that we can only act selfishly, then the natural next question to ask is what is a self. Self is a concept which distributes intuitively over multiple observers, usually according to some general criteria. Those can be friends insofar as you identify with them and see them as part of yourself, but this is more common with family members or people who are very similar to you, and it is of course most strongly common with "your" own life experience, though sometimes we cease to identify with parts of ourselves and see them as other. Sympathy itself is nothing but this identification paired with the suffering of that person which you are identifying with (which is "you", too). This is how Schopenhauer bases morality in his prize essay on the basis of morality, though it can easily be extended into a theory on value in general.

The entire preposition that you propose give's life an objective is to "identify with those who are alike because beauty can be derived from it" - this is cope

1. What is beauty
2. Why is trying to find beauty an objective
3. Why is this the "only thing that matters"

answer in a non pretentious way so its not like having to decipher a foreign language, this isn't an essay

Beauty is a pleasurable/valuable appearance.
Trying to do anything is an objective, moron.
It's the only thing that matters because you only experience appearances, hence the only valuable thing for you would be valuable appearances.
Why do I argue with children that have never read a single philosophy book in their lives spouting cliches they got from their favourite incel channel lol. Completely embarrassing. You don't have the IQ to comprehend anything I say even though I am saying it in baby language.

Just dont rot that's all
No need to ask about meaning everyday

I'm just enquiring your lifes purpose/meaning. not trying to debunk it jfl calm down oh mighty high iq mogger

So the entire objective of one's existence is to look/experience things that please our minds because said things interact with the pleasure systems within our brains? Is that it.

Oh ok I thought you were tryna argue.
Not quite, since the observers / experiences you identify with don't need to be connected to your brain. You can identify with "other" people's experiences. What makes it valuable to you is just the fact that you are experiencing it, it doesn't have to do with the brain necessarily, but then the question is what are "you", and this is where identifying with others becomes important.

This makes no sense to me considering everything that you can possibly perceive and therefore experience is processed via your brain in one way or another. So how can an experience not be connected to your brain.
but then the question is what are "you"
Couldn't this be answered on a somewhat simplistic molecular level, not a philosophical one. ie you are a homo sapien, you are a bunch of cells connected to another by cell adhesions?

Experiences aren't *necessarily* connected to your brain. There is nothing about an experience that necessitates something physical. We can't even say physical objects exist with any certainty, this is just an explanation we created to explain certain patterns in experience. If it was as simple as how you are making it, then you could easily debunk things like the afterlife, etc. but this is still an open question.

The reason we can't answer this on a physical level is because it just doesn't capture our idea of "self" right. It doesn't explain sympathy, love, immersion into fiction, the ability to stop identifying with some part of your past experience, or the ability to identify with things more or less. Of course we can set up a definition like you want, but this will have little connection to our actual concept of identity we use.

I think evolutionary biology gives a good answer as to why these emotions exist

Ok but what would you do if everything were just as simple as biology. No philosophy but we all were really just organisms trapped in a vessel of hormones and our synapses sending messages to one another ergo that is our entire self. That our experiences are/were real and solely connected to our brain. Would you rope?

Nigga you just ignored every one of my arguments that explained this is not the case jfl. You can identify with your dog therefore what you are saying is false. And of course evolutionary biology can explain why emotions exist, but those emotions also necessarily contain the idea of the self, and so any good concept of the self must incorporate and explain these in it’s definition. The concept of self you gave does not explain that connection.

Yeah but what about those of us who dont want kids.
