Any reccs? An example is stuff like Thomas Sowell Basic Economics, Mein Kampf, The Republic. I want something that's general and touches on Econ, History, Politics, Culture etc

politics and culture studies are futile distractions, so is economics. Best to pursue is history as it greatly improves world view and helps in everyday life.

Reading books and becoming knowledgeable helps alot when chatting up women in lengthy conversation. You'll build a closer connection if you talk about more interesting things than the basic "hows ur day going" and other drama.

That depends on the girl. An intellectual one fine - but she is likely to be LTB. Very few girls want to talk about macroeconomics, the philosophy of science or quantum physics.

Read the newspaper. Reading it for almost a decade everyday has kept me well informed and knowledgable across a wide range of topics. Its a part of my routine. Immediately after going to the gym or a run. I pick up that day's newspaper and read it over breakfast everyday. @Luca_. Tagging you since you asked how to be well informed

Do you recommend the Hindu or the economic times?

I know it's a bit old-school, and people will think you are tryhard for reading it but honestly it's been one of the best habits I picked up. Gives me a solid grasp on a lot of things. Wall Street Journal, and New York Times specifically for reporting. NPR is fairly unbiased, slightly left but pretty solid overall. You could also read local newspapers from small outlets they are quite good too

For India. I ithink India express is best. Hindu is slightly left leaning but still good and TOI has too many ads

You want to be well informed about how culture affects people's thoughts, so read some historic fiction and literary fiction. These will make you a much better conversationalist and will make you seem much smarter than you are because you can predict well. So I'd recommend:
Dostoevsky's works (maybe once you are more well read)
The Count of Monte cristo
John Steinbeck's works
How to get filthy rich in rising Asia
Catcher in the Rye
Read some even older stuff too, some classics kiek Jekyll and Hyde. Get well read on classical theism, start reading the bible once you finish that read quran and read up on apologetics from Aquinas and stuff, shows you lots about cultural influence and let's you understand people. Once you have that base understanding of objectives philosophy read Seneca's letters to the stoic and some platonic stuff before deciding what you like. Read some romance too, love story by Erich segal is a classic and from there read only older stuff because past 1970 is slop for women that you need to pretend not to understand and have them explain. For economics they don't care about it but I'd recommend personally you read Hoppe
