Braces fixing a recessed mandible?almost same man, i have great maxilla development, but somehow ended up with overbite and poor mandible development, im hoping braces can fix this
its not recessed stupid mutt, the more i get lean the more i see its not recessed, overbite makes it look recessedBraces fixing a recessed mandible?
im getting braces really soon, im just hoping for best, i should tell them to try not to retract my maxillaI'm not sure
I'm not really sure how one jaw can be developed more than the other and the bite remains intact (without intervention of Orthodontics that further fucks up everything)
I think it might have to do with downgrowth, that is a result of insufficient breastfeeding as a child, where you didn't develop enough tongue posture to act upwards on your palate
But also most people are not really recessed to a significant degree. You are only recessed if your bite has suffered as a result of it from an overbite. If your teeth were unaffected to the point you needed Orthodontics to fix specifically an Overbite, your bite was hardly if at all affected. Which means you aren't recessed

Yeah probably I doubt I mouthbreathed much but I never mewed and used to swallow wrong. Also maybe swallowing patterns/ posture of neck
No it's not really downgrowth. Downgrowth is a result of mouthbreathing and recesses the maxilla.I'm not sure
