My maxilla is good, my jaw is good and my Philtrum looks bad. Bad shape and it‘s too big

what can cause this?

your maxilla is not good, your face overall is very downward grown. also not much can be done with a lip lift since you already have a visible upper lip, just consult surgeons instead of asking here

you have far worse problems than shape, that philtrum looks like mice's

The problem is the length. That crease will lose depth if your philtrum is shortened.

wdym how you can tell? even a blind person can see just look at your mandible and gonial angle

i dont know the causes for it, but you probably need maxillary impaction and ccw rotation, looking now actually your forward growth is not bad but at the same time your face is long and downward grown..weird

Could braces did this to me? I had them for 5 years

Very slight fat injection should reduce this fold.

Also a lip lift, yes it will only reduce size, but size is also a problem and the smaller it is, the smaller the problem is visible.

Yes, I don’t see how this philtrum fold of yours is any different than nasolabial folds, it’s just a small “declination” of skin that can be made more full with fat injections

Could be true, if I stretch my mouth, my philtrum looks less prominent

Your face is forward projecting i.e definetly not recessed and you have decent hyoid bone position but the jaw growth is downward rather upward.
Either due to your G E N E T I C S or of extensive mouthbreathing during childhood.

Sorry to add salt to the wound but your mouth is quite narrow as well. You’d need a lip lift as well as a way to widen your mouth as well
