What do people here's parents think about them getting surgery?

My dad and mom are both very supportive, and they ask to go with me to each consultation and they dont interrupt but he says he is very sad that he thinks that i think i need to do it. I am getting BSSO, and i have assured him its extremely safe.

How old are you ? You probably shouldn't listen to anyone trying to discourage you from getting surgery. Most people are hypocrites, they'll lie to your face to make themselves feel better, even your parents unfortunately. You've seen my before picture, well mind you everyone around me was telling me that I looked good, didn't need surgery, that I have severe body dysmorphia and that it's all in my head, etc

No they dont try and convince me out of it as I said they are very supportive. I will never let anyone convince me out of it as my instinct tells me its a good desicion. Im 21.

They genuinely see nothing wrong with my face, they say I have no recession, have perfect eyes, beautiful blah blah blah.

They think ima get botched and shit, very annoying.

They think I’m an idiot and they are probably right, but not for the reasons they state.

Their reasoning: you look good enough already and it’s a waste of money.
Correct reasoning: base is too bad, too old, won’t ascend and it’s a waste of money.
