What do professional hair stylists actually do?

There's a lot of random normie advice on hair like using clay or blowdrying (basic stuff). I'm wondering the path a professional hairstylist would take so I can do something more similar to them.

I think it would have to do with the correct shampoo and conditioner, then drying it correctly, and finally adding some combination of products that works with whatever else you are doing.

I just want to make real hairstyles and not a simple quick fix

Hairdressers are worth it if you have medium-long hair because you need to get them layered and shaped or else it will look dogshit

No they're going to ask for $200 which I donmt have now. Someone on here is gonna know how to style hair better than them. I've been on the forum longer than you...
