Today, I spent like 20 minutes staring at 5 numbers on the end of a book because it said the author released a book in 1945, 1947, 1955, 1963, and 1969. I found a pattern where the first book to the second was 2 years, then 8, then 8 again, and then 6. I found that it “works” because the 2 and 6 added together makes 8 just like the other two intervals. I dont even know how to explain what i mean by the fact that it works, because this isnt a real pattern and it has no meaning. Is this a sign of any mental condition or strange ways of thinkign? I always do things like this throughout my day, this was just one example. Things like this happen unconciously and i dont even realize im doing it until later, sometimes i dont even realize it because i do it so often that its become normal to me

No, not deep as in emotionally, deep in an autistic way. Like ill overanalyze the most retarded thing that has no meaning, like the lines of a wooden table

Maybe you just like symmetry? As in, identifying symmetrical patterns is just satisfying to your brain

Yes, it just makes me feel satisfied to spot a pattern even though it isnt a real pattern

It could also be that finding patterns just makes you feel a degree of certainty in an uncertain world

Schizophrenia is highly heritable, so unless you have someone in your family that is a cause for concern, I wouldn't think about it. Also what you mentioned isn't symptomatic of schizophrenia, and most importantly, no one on a looksmaxxing site is going to diagnose you correctly :lul:

I mean if its indicative of anything, then it could be minor OCD, but I don't necessarily think that it'll impair the quality of your life
But like i said no one here can diagnose you correctly, not even me, so take all of what we're saying with a grain of salt lol

Whos that? I already feel like its ab to be funny
Watch the show prison break it’s really good. Micheal is just to main character of the show who is super intelligent and in the show he has a mental disorder where they say he processes all information instead of filtering the useless stuff. It’s a really good show though it’s on Netflix
