I'm undecided whether to buy a dermastamp, a dermaroller or a dermapen.

What are the differences? In addition to improving the absorption of topical lotions, can they also help slow down AGA?

Thank you.

✅ 1. Dermastamp

Best for: Targeted treatment (e.g. acne scars, deep wrinkles, stretch marks)

Pros:

  • Precise application — ideal for small areas like acne scars or around the eyes.
  • Less skin tearing since needles go in vertically.
  • Lower risk of damaging surrounding tissue.

Cons:

  • Takes longer to treat larger areas.
  • Manual stamping can be tedious and painful if not used properly.

Best for you if: You want to treat specific problem areas with high precision and minimal trauma.

✅ 2. Dermaroller

Best for: General beginners or full-face treatments on a budget

Pros:

  • Easy to use and widely available.
  • Good for improving skin texture, tone, and fine lines.
  • Affordable.

Cons:

  • Needles roll in and out at an angle, causing more micro-tears in the skin.
  • Higher risk of irritation or side effects.
  • Less effective for targeting deep scars.

Best for you if: You're new to microneedling and want to do broad surface-level skin treatments affordably.

✅ 3. Dermapen (Microneedling Pen)

Best for: Professionals or serious at-home users wanting adjustable depth and efficiency

Pros:

  • Vertical needle entry = cleaner microchannels and less skin trauma.
  • Adjustable needle depth — customize for different areas.
  • More hygienic and consistent.
  • Faster treatments.

Cons:

  • More expensive upfront.
  • Requires more care in handling.
  • Can be overkill for casual users.

Best for you if: You want professional-level results, have multiple skin concerns, and are comfortable investing more and learning how to use it properly.

took a whole 30 seconds to search this up on chatgpt so rep me for high effort reply:feelshah:

According to this guy, Dr. Abs, dermarolling is better for a couple of reasons, take the information as you will

Despite me not being to give you a straight answer myself about dermastamping/rolling/pen, I can tell you about AGA. Any microneedling device will help slow down and slightly reverse the hairloss, but that's only a band aid solution, you will not recover most of the hair like that, and you won't completely stop the hair loss either.

Androgenic alopecia is caused by your androgens, obviously, so the only solution for that is stopping them, either with a topical anti-androgenic or by taking finasteride/dutasteride. Microneedling can help here by promoting some new hair growth, but that's only really relevant when you're not actively losing hair.

I use derma roller works good

derminator 2 is the best consumer device, with no competition
most other devices cause the wrong type of damage that can lead to scarring
