What does the concept of morality accomplish that laws and social norms do not?

The point of laws and social norms is to control how people act with incentives and punishment.

But what does morality accomplish? As far as I'm concerned it's just an ego thing. For example you might do something nice because you want to feel like a "good person" or you might not do something mean because "it would be mean" and you'd feel guilty.

People treat your better. They feel Comfy around you. They will respect you. You are also serving society in a good way.

you can accomplish this by being good looking

or you can just follow social rules for the sake of being accepted and be "immoral" in areas you won't get caught or shamed
You are also serving society in a good way.
well some people simply don't care for that

Morality comes from religion

thou shall not kill = don't kill

even athiests believe in religion if you get past the fake storys etc

religion is to control people

hence morality is just another form of control

if you hurt the system you are a "bad" person

No but seriously just look up literature about it

Thats how it is for women. They only do something because of how they feel, and to boost their ego. Thats not really morality, thats just solipsism. A man who has moral convictions will do things just because they are the right thing to do, not because they make him feel better. Like a man who has a som with mental problems will take care of him, find new ways to communicate with him, and he will not leave his son just because it might difficult. He won't brag to anyone or tell anyone about it, he will just do it because he knows its the right thing to do. But a woman in the same situation will brag on social media about how she is so strong, and talk about how much of a struggle it is. And she will just get some meds from the doctor to sedate her son so she doesnt have to deal with him, and she will complain to everyone about how hard she has it.

well to be fair a man who helps his son is helping his offspring, which he has a connection to. he can also take pride in his son's accomplishments and live vicariously through him

That is definitely true, but in the example I probided, that mans son would probably not be having kids or accomplishing anything great. But of course the dad would still take care of the son just the same. Even with the lack of social desirability or popularity, or the lack of the sons ability to accomplish much, it doesnt make the dad just give up or not care. Although there are definitely plenty of dads who do like see their son accomplish things just for the ego boost, it is almost never a 100% egotistical and solipsistic concern like with a mother.

Rather get rid of concepts

the law is just the active enforcement and application of a particular set of morals.

however that it isn't exactly the same as normative ethics, i.e. what is the best course of action in X situation. there's many schools of thought there.

It accomplishes absolutely nothing.

are you sure? it must exist for a reason
it exists to control people. Can you imagine how easy life would be if every 10th person you ever met had spiderman mentality

but laws and social norms control people.

there must be a specific component of morality that is different from the other two.

They do. but morality isn't a legal based thing so you won't be prosecuted for "misleading a customer" It's basically cheats, since everyone follows their moral codes like the law. Morality is a religion based thing which allows the "church, mosques and synagogue" to exploit people. There is no right or wrong on this earth
