What does the ideal gonion shape look like from the side profile?

Should look good

What shape?
I dont really know what you mean by shape.

From what I see, gonion angle and flare is what is important.
You want flare so it gives your jaw angularity and good width that is 80-90% of your cheekbones.
Aswell, an angle that is between 110-125 so your jaw doesn't look like a block.

My mandibular length is 138mms, gonial angle is 117 and chin height is 50mms. Yet my jaw doesn't flare. So I'm blaming it all on the shape of my gonions which are asymmetric. So is it supposed to be squarish, rounded, jagged, etc?

Hmm, those are good measurements.
Pics would really help tbh.

Issue could be due to jaw width, ramus length, or body fat.
Can't tell without pics.

Well my ramus is 8cms tall but my right gonion is rounded and the left one is jagged. Could you show me a pic of well shaped gonions? I'm headed to Dr. Eppley in a few months for gonial implants..

Thanks. Who is he?

Also note that I have slight ante-gonial notches, will this prevent flaring of the mandible?

Gonial corner should be the same height as mouth area
