He’s only 5’11, and his features aren’t particularly impressive and infact he’s thirsted over when hes older (oceans, now) instead of when he was really young (prime years). What is it that gives him appeal? He doesn’t have muscle either.

First of all, he IS good looking.
Second of all, he is the quintessential "suave older gentleman" type.
He looks like a man who is confident without being arrogant, dominant without being loud, and who has seen his fair share of the world; someone who knows what he wants, knows how to treat a lady, etc.

In other words, he is charming and well put together.
He has appeal because he fills a specific niche + is good looking even outside his niche.
