Mostly grades in the middle. From 1 to 6, with 1 being lowest and 6 being highest. I mostly got ranging from 2 to 5

I got the top grades every year from junior to high-school. When I was a kid everyone praised me - teachers and other kids alike, girls admired me, with good grades you could go to any college and choose whatever career you wanted, at least this is how it was in the communist era, good grades opened the doors to all sorts of opportunities...
But communism ended, Romania transitioned to a capitalist system, many people lost their jobs, factories and companies closed, and a new breed of rich people appeared: shady businessmen, entrepreneurs, politicians, athletes, rappers, etc. - people who were uneducated, barely literate, but somehow have made it in life, and they quickly attracted the admiration of the masses.
From a young man with huge potential, I basically became a nerd almost overnight, and my good grades meant absolutely nothing...
