It depends... First off, ideally you would be getting most of your nutrition from whole foods, using vitamins only when you REALLY have to.Does anyone knows?
High iq.It depends... First off, ideally you would be getting most of your nutrition from whole foods, using vitamins only when you REALLY have to.
Second, taking certain vitamins only a few days is unideal, while taking others intermittently is fine.
Water-soluble vitamins (B vitamins, vitamin C, most minerals minerals) do not accumulate in your body, meaning if you only take them one day but not the other, and you don't meet the RDI through your diet you will be deficient for that day. It doesn't matter if you dose them highly either, as an excess of these vitamins is excreted through your pee.
Fat-soluble vitamins (vitamin A, D3, K2, K1, E, copper, calcium, iron, zinc) can be taken intermittently without issues if you take excess of them they'll accumulate in your body and contribute to your RDI the following days. This is also the reason why you can only get hypervitaminosis from fat-soluble vitamins and these minerals, they're the only ones that accumulate in your tissues.
Don’t use vitamins if you don’t have to like @Zeekie said.Does anyone knows?
