@mvpisafaggot420 @taai know this better than me but I think the best keyboards are the ones with very low actuation so cherry mx silver or whatever they are called

i think the best one is the kinesis advantage 360 with panda switches. nothing even comes close

i got it with mx browns i think and it sucks ass, i use my x1 carbon's keyboard or my old hhkb (best switches ever)

That is ergonomic keyboard tho. I thought for gaming you need a tkl type

I don't game either. I left that entire gaming thing back when I was 18. I only sometimes play games on my ps5. Otherwise i exclusively use my laptop and PC for work.

Gaming is simply a form of entertainment. You don’t necessarily need to be young to play games
 
Are mechanical switches considered worse?
optical switches are pretty much the same thing they just have a much faster response time

In regards travel time optic switches or low profile ones should do. Also low resistance, so I wouldn't go for tactile switches. You want linear low travel. The latency from the signal from the PCB shouldn't an issue.
