What do you mean, it's like an alternate reality, you're doing stuff you can't do in real life, personally I always preferred adventure and RPG games with intricate stories, lots of characters and plenty of dialogue to compensate for my mediocre social life.

If it’s an open world rpg like the Witcher or red dead it’s pretty fun tbh. It’s like traveling without the effort. Now pay to win games with monotonous grinding like overwatch, cod, or Fortnite are completely pointless are are like sedatives to waste money and time of children and soyboys with no life or aspirations

I generally liked the escapism they provided. It felt like I’m controlling a new reality, but you could also find community if you played certain games competitively.

I haven’t played vidya in 3 ish years now, I think part of the problem is how commercialised & bad they have become, it does seem too much like a children’s hobby now.
