What's the point of a painless execution? Why should the perpetrator die a more peaceful death than the victim? Painless death feels like a mercy they did not give to their victims. Executions methods like wet electric chair, guillotine, lethal injection are shit.
If criminals knew their death will be agonizing then they may think twice before committing brutal acts. Give them the most painful and humiliating death possible and create spectacle out of it that will serve as true symbolic justice. Burn them alive, throw them boiling water, dry electric chair are better
