Whenever I use the 1-10 scale to rate someone facially on TikTok or some other gay platform these stupid greycel fucks always criticize me for not using the autist scale that goes to 8 instead. For what reason should I be using that rating system over the normie scale?

Both subjective attractiveness and objective beauty can be hypothetically ranked but neither the normie 1-10 scale (like if you ask a girl to eyeball rate a guy out of ten) or the PSL & TrueRateMe autism scale can be used very practically, nor can reflect reality in the best way possible.

While a great thread that is concise, informative and overall very useful, @emeraldglass still fails to give any reason to use this shitty scale that goes up to 8 instead of the one that goes to 10. He also claims that many 7.25-7.5/8’s exist and list a few while 9/10’s do not which does not add up.

I think when they think of the concept of “1-10” they just think of what some girl on the street would rate them after looking at them for 10 seconds. Most people are 5/10 or close to it facially.

If I show a default 5/10 negroid ogre with dreads and grills to a female she might say he’s a 5 or 6, because he’s kindof cute but he’s not really her type. If I show the same girl a guy that’s his default 5/10 looksmatch facially but he’s a twink-maxxed, white prettyboy with final fantasy hair she may call him a 10 or 11 because that’s who she finds attractive.

Both of these examples fit into different demographics and niches and appeal to different girls, this is the normie 1-10 scale that everyone uses.

The autistic 1-10 scale measures objective attractiveness on nothing more than bones, features, ratios and angles to determine how gifted you are in the face. Neither of these rating systems I’d say are practical.

i think cause 9 and 10/10 isn’t possible if a 5 is average so a 1-8 scale with 4 being average makes it so that only an 8 is impossible

The 8 point scale (PSL scale) is primarily used in blackpill circles and essentially boils down to the idea that no human is more handsome than an 8, with 9+ being so rare it can't be accurately used for rating. This scale focuses purely on PSL standards (facial harmony, bone mass, balance, symmetry, sexual dimorphism, unique qualities, and averageness), without considering height, body, and such. There's nothing wrong with using the 10 point scale, and anyone who insists otherwise is just trying too hard to prove something.
