Becoming NT starts early, as early as elementary school. It's the result of initially exhibiting non-NT behavior, and furthermore and more importantly, refusing to adapt to NT behavior during your formative years. To put it bluntly, you failed to assimilate culturally with your peers.
I want to be clear there is no objective NT behavior. It varies largely by decade, location and the people around you. For example being NT in a ghetto chithole involves joining gangs, embracing thug culture. Another example, growing up in an American Asian neighborhood is about excelling academically to get into a good university while rebelling against traditional Asian norms with risk-taking behavior like partying, drugs, etc. And these individual microcosms are also unified by a grander macro culture such as supporting homosexuality if you live in a woke neighborhood.
Why you're non-NT and continue to be non-NT can boil down to environmental and genetic factors.
Genetically, you could have a facial deformity, a funny voice, lacking inflection, too low IQ, too high IQ, autism, etc. Anything that makes you stick out in a strange way.
Environmentally, assuming you don't have genetic issues, it's almost always due to poor decision making from parents. Parents instilling trauma into their kids with domestic abuse and violence. Parents putting a white boy into a pre-dominantly black school. However, strong enough genetics can make up for poor environment such as being gifted athletically or academically if in an Asian neighborhood.
For myself personally I was largely NT when in elementary school, but trauma from home struck. I felt like I initially started NT but devolved into non-NT due to strict parenting I wasn't allowed to take in both the culture of my neighborhood and broader America at the time. Alas, I spent the majority of my formative years on forums.
I'd wager for the majority of you, genetics are not why you're NT. You probably have average genes. The problem is your environment fucking sucked.
