The mouth, often an overlooked trait(especially on men), is quite important to attractiveness. Like the nose, different lips suit different people, but there are some general guidelines to follow.
For men, the mouth has to be wide. We know that males (on average) have wider mouths than women, making them a dimorphic trait. The ideal is dependent on your ratios/proportions, but in general, they should be as wide as your irises.
Another component of your lips are the corners, down turned corners aren’t aesthetic. They give you a depressed, angry chud look
.
Lip corners should either be straight, or upturned
On the side profile, your upper lip should protrude slightly more than your lower lip:
This gives your face the prettyboy look
Furthermore, the Cupid Bow should be sharp:
your lips should ideally be red or pink, but this is dependent on other colouring as well.
Your lips should be decently thick, not too thick (ethnic trait) and not too thin. This is because plump lips are a health indicator. Male dimorphism suggests that thin lips are more masucline, but this obviously doesn't mean paper thin lips look good. Women just usually have bigger lips
.
Your lower lip should be 1.6 times bigger than the upper lip or the same size.
