i dont think i know a single programmer who takes his work seriously and at the same time possesses a modicum of humanity or soul left with him.
they become and feel so emotionless, so robotic, so braindead in the human way that its almost repulsive anytime you attempt a conversation with them about anything involves arts or soul. yes, some of them do love art but its usually some cute girl anime or power fantasy that they combine with their porn addiction to help themselves cope with the days.
almost none of them have any hobbies or anything that could make them laugh, and they somehow believe shitting up some more code or clearing some leetcode or solving algorithms they will never use under a time limit is a big achievement?
reminds me of the guys who believe they are curing their depression playing dark souls 2 and that its a form of achievement, but atleast ds2 has some cool environments, buildings, armors and things to explore, while almost all that consists of being a codecel is sitting infront of a screen writing code in abstract languages day after day.
why? why in the hell would they believe they are somehow superior to others while at the same time having such miserable joyless betabuxxing lives? i have had more interesting and life-affirming conversations talking to literally call center employees than them.
why are they like this? yes coding is repetitive but how can it turn so many people full of so much potential into literal lobotomized drooling slaves?
