What makes codecels / software engineers / programmers be so repugnant in their lives?

i dont think i know a single programmer who takes his work seriously and at the same time possesses a modicum of humanity or soul left with him.
they become and feel so emotionless, so robotic, so braindead in the human way that its almost repulsive anytime you attempt a conversation with them about anything involves arts or soul. yes, some of them do love art but its usually some cute girl anime or power fantasy that they combine with their porn addiction to help themselves cope with the days.
almost none of them have any hobbies or anything that could make them laugh, and they somehow believe shitting up some more code or clearing some leetcode or solving algorithms they will never use under a time limit is a big achievement?
reminds me of the guys who believe they are curing their depression playing dark souls 2 and that its a form of achievement, but atleast ds2 has some cool environments, buildings, armors and things to explore, while almost all that consists of being a codecel is sitting infront of a screen writing code in abstract languages day after day.
why? why in the hell would they believe they are somehow superior to others while at the same time having such miserable joyless betabuxxing lives? i have had more interesting and life-affirming conversations talking to literally call center employees than them.
why are they like this? yes coding is repetitive but how can it turn so many people full of so much potential into literal lobotomized drooling slaves?

they do get plenty of social contact unless they are some hyper spergy mathematical geniuses or someone working in their basements on some videogame alone.
if anything most of them that ive known are over-socialized and extremely kind guys trying to fit in and offend nobody in any way, shape or form.

Desperate attempt at finding identity and self worth in something other than social relationships which they were unable to obtain

Its about balance, Im coding beacuse my dad is programmer, and I want to be also, spending few hours per day to do that and still clubying, partying, going with girls to mcdonald and other shit - its all about your positive vibe which comes with you

The kinds of people (not everyone but in general) who go into computer programming are usually autistic and obsessed with computer science, to them they get legit joy out of sitting in front of a keyboard every day and getting severe back pain at the age of 29.
