What makes someone a true NPC

The thing that truly separates NPCs from PCs is their inability to think with their own intuition.

They want to get out of any argument that relies on their intuition and argue over semantics and sources as quickly as possible.

It's a lot easier for them to waste time, filibuster and get into semantic arguments than actually think things through on an intuitive level. You can observe this in many examples when NPCs are questioned on first principles, definitions and logic, they are desperate to change the topic.

Here is a prime example:



They've been told gender and race is a social construct, yet have only been told gender can be changed if you feel like it, but not race. They can only explain that there is a difference, but can't explain why there is a difference because they can't think intuitively.

For an NPC, 1+1=2, not because it is logically correct by definition, but because they are told this is correct.

You can see this with how woke people will obsess over asking for "source" for even the most mundane of arguments. Every belief to them has to be approved by an authority figure to make it true, not because it is true by way of A to B logic.
