I think it is possible to have an attractive face with only an average maxilla, since with the right other features, an average one may look better than a highly forward one.
But I wonder at what point is a maxilla too far back to be salvageable for a good face?
How low a ratio of AB to CB (below image for reference), do you wager is considered recessed and or damning for the whole face?

almost every single model has a flat maxilla because you only really see prominent ones in ethnics.

You're mistaking o'prys overjet for maxillary protraction. It's mostly teeth

Even recessed subhumans often have overjet
