What mindset actually defines looksmaxxing optimization within limits, or pushing outcomes regardless of limits?




I’m confused

For example is an aided development looksmaxxing? Or is all in risks aside looksmaxxing?

Aided development

for example would be vitamins (d3,zinc,magnesium) obv beauty quadrant (posture,oral posture,chewing)
Working out (no enhancements due to being in development)


All risks aside mindset

Hormonal enhancements, of course everything that was in the aid development as well but with pinning during developemnt


Personally I think all risks aside works best after development but then again what would change?


I’m comparing two philosophies not methods here

this is one of those questions where it looks simple but it actually splits into two completely different mindsets

what you’re really comparing isn’t methods, it’s how someone relates to limits

one mindset is optimization
the other is override

optimization is basically: “given the system i’m in, how far can i push it without breaking it?”
it’s slow, compounding, boring to watch but extremely stable. you’re working with biology, not against it. things like posture, training, nutrition, sleep, even basic supplementation — all of that falls here. it respects the idea that development has a timeline and that forcing it too early can backfire

override is different. it’s: “i don’t care about the system, i care about the outcome”
it treats limits as obstacles instead of boundaries. hormones, risky interventions, anything that accelerates results regardless of long-term stability — that’s this mindset

and here’s the important part people miss:

override doesn’t just give “faster results,” it changes the risk profile entirely

especially during development

your body isn’t static yet. hormones aren’t stable, structures are still forming, feedback systems are sensitive. when you introduce strong external signals (like hormonal enhancement), you’re not just “boosting” — you’re rewriting signals that haven’t settled yet

so it’s not really “same thing but faster”
