Title. Want to major in CS in college (Prob minor in math with it) and just do a desk coding job after, over the summer I would like to learn coding but not sure which language I should look into. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards Python ATM because many people recommend it and it is apparently pretty easy and universal.

Thoughts on Flutter?
Just learn swift, far better job options with swift and both are super easy. Flutter has some serious performance issues on ios

The best programming language is the ass kissing language, that will get you far in your field

Python >> C >> Assembly

This should give a good layered intro for you and you'll understand a lot more if you do it like this.

this; you first want to understand programming, what happens with a program etc, then understand what's going on at the deeper level. Best route to take;

Will almost certainly be learning Python first... Thanks!

Try to learn by projects rather than doing code academy or something. Higher odds you’ll stick with it that way

You can just type in Python Beginner's Course on YT and go through one of the longer ones for a decent intro. One of those courses will at least get you set up to use Python on your computer and teach you the basics of what happens when you write a progam
