what % retin-a to start with

after months, expresspct finally restocked on retin-a
so which one should i order? saw most people recommend starting with 0.025, but some start with 0.1 right away

0.025% would be safe, but if you think your skin can handle it, 0.05 gives faster results.

1% start will be brutal, one of the members on this forum got hyperpigmentation because of it, I wouldn't suggest starting with that.

Here is how I reccomend applying the gel:

- put a pea sized glob of it on a finger.

- use a mirror and slowly dab little dots of the gel onto your face with your finger. Your cheeks, forehead, temples, nose.

- after dabbing it on, use your fingers to gently smooth out the little dots on your face like you're working lotion on your skin.

- let it dry and you're done.

A little bit goes a long way with Retin gel. When I first picked it up from the pharmacy I made the mistake of putting a giant glob of it on my fingers and just smothering my face with it... my face was beet red and flaking for a week. It stung like a bitch to.

You're thinking of retinol, not Retin A.

so which one should i order?

Start with 0.025%. You can always increase the strength later.
