I was trying to take a different angle about the rent and visa traps that exist for immigrant workers, and how companies are aware of this.

For example in Ireland you need a Stamp 4 to live in the country while not having a job, otherwise you need a separate work permit.

The thread was highlighting the brutality of companies having leverage over situational factors such as "We can pay Rakesh less than market value. He's renting and needs a monthly paycheck to continue living. He can't move back with his parents and continue to work, because they're back in India. Also he is working towards his VISA. We have no reason to pay him more, as he has no leverage or network that's useful to us."

The above doesn't just apply to Indian immigrants. I was moreso trying to explain how companies will leverage your personal life and financial freedom in order to keep you complaint under their rules.

The fact I centred it around Indians was a good way to make it popular (considering most of the forum are Indian). A mod probably resonated with the core message and stickied it. You shouldn't get mad. It's not a competition, and you can make whatever threads/posts you feel like.

But I find it hard to believe you disagreed with everything in the post... really?

Anyways, I agree the forum went to shit, like 5 years ago. There's nothing productive to talk about. Especially in the investing/moneymaxxing section. There's very few users who actually give good perspectives in my opinion. The odd Einstein greycel pops out of the woodwork now and again.

But the real truth lies in consistency, taking action, sticking to productive routines, stacking good habits, managing stress and working towards long term goals.


Alexanderr made a great thread about "consistency in looksmaxxing" which I think is super underrated, and it's one of the newer threads.

Plus you should also know that if you hire on visa you have to actually pay the government to hire your candidate in big countries
Since the governments around the world are pretty strict on creating jobs for normal resident employees
